With a dash

Old Dave Work, a Scotsman, (Orkney Islands) my kids great granddad was partial to a dash of lemonade in his beer.  This particular day, we were at O'Sheas' pub, three beers later he was  complaining about there being no lemonade in his drink.  O'Shea was adamant  he had put lemonade in. 

  

Old Dave stormed out and headed for the other pub up the road.  He never did go back.

Three days later, O'Shea asked me to apologise to Dave.

Seems the local soft  drink manufacturer had mistakingly labelled the soda  water bottles with lemonade labels.  Old Dave had been drinking beer with a dash of soda water.
