Darryl Wright , the Mackay, NQ,  photographer, originally had pool maintenance business.  We were  looking at an above ground vinyl pool at the  Mitre 10 store at which I worked as the advertising manager.  Darryl beckoned me to have a look at the grass in the bottom of the pool.

It was grass alright... the notorious Nut Grass.

Somehow, who knows how, the grass had started to grow up through the heavy vinyl lining.

The grass has a reputation of growing through anything.
