Sunrise Town Beach Mackay

EARLY morning view from my previous address at Town Beach.  I guess I could not have
afforded the new rent... With this view, you can understand why.  I had eight beautiful years with views like this, before being evicted... Looking out over the Coral Sea.
To the right of this picture is the largest coal port in Australia. The Dalrymple Bay and Hay Point coal loading complex.  Amazingly enough there are approximately 60 giant coal ships (colliers) there in the distance at any one time.  I counted 56 ships one night flying back into Mackay.
Probably the only thing about this shot is that the tide is only half out.  The beach is everlastingly
changing.  The tide carries so much sand year round.  I have seen the foreshore only 150 feet from the front door change consistently. One month there was a olympic pool size pond, and 2 months later the sand had rearranged the view, and reduced the pond by half, or in some cases double the size. Large tides (6 metres plus) a couple of times a year, manipulate the sand into new views.
