We had a 5 day stop over here. I really think the place had the same feel as Mackay, temperatur wise. Turtle Beach was a laugh. Quite often I saw Maori fellas in a lot of the Hawaiian bands. Met a fella swimming here the very same day from Airlie Beach. He owned the renta yacht business at Shute Harbour.
