This is the old Hamilton Island Logo chosen by Keith Williamson. The logo was envisaged by myself and Bronwyn Murphy of Hamilton Island. The image is of a baby's soft toy that the Murphy's had purchased at their home in Mackay in the early 1980's. When I saw it I reckoned it would make a great logo. I never actually drew the design. Over the years I was to reproduce it many times in the Island's printing. I worked at Hatfield's Printers in Mackay as the staff artist at the Mackay Daily Mercury.
