The company REB Engineering was a great company to work for. The work was outstanding. As an office worker... Typesetter at a printing business. This was a new world. One job I would be 150 feet up in the air on a boom of a dragline, hanging over a wall 100 feet deep. The next job you would be in the bowels of a dragline... lying on your back on what they called the wrack, above the tub. The tub is the base on which the dragline swivells. Then you could be inside the tub. Dragging welding gear around for the boily/welder.
Another day you could be painting the deck of the machine with 2 part epoxy paint.
Of course if you out drank the boss that night at the bar and gave some cheek or did a cartoon of him.... you would end up in the blackjack. A black grease, generally used on Draglines, but now and again has to be cleaned off machinery. The stuff that does not seem to want to leave your body for days. That WAS punishment.
On top of these giant machines, are identification numbers. They have to be signwritten.
