This is a cartoon on a mishap at the Peak Downs Open Cut Coal Mine, west of Mackay, Queensland,  back in the late 80's.  REB Engineering shutdown on a Marion Dragline tub.   Lowering the giant 3000 tonne machine from a height of about 12 feet the dragline brakes let go...   Everybody took off... She landed with a thud and the boom (jib) was bouncing up and down...  The boss, standing next to me, Ross Lambley said:  "I suppose there will be a cartoon on this  one."    I said: "You betcha."  I had it drawn by the next morning.
