The late Robert Deegan was a former Mr. Australasia. He won that title and many others around the country in the mid 70's. Strangely, I have had difficulty finding anybody with records of his wins in all states. Originally from Wollongong, born at Darlinghurst, Sydney. He was featured on front page and centrefold in the April issue of American "Muscular Development" magazine, 1973. He is also featured with Paul Graham in the 2nd issue of "Cleo" magazine.

I new Robert as a foster brother. He shared our little housing commission flat in Randwick during the early and mid 70s. He had a great sense of humour and was a kind gentle man. He is loved and missed.
